Your results depend on your Consensus plan, not your AI subscription. Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus, and similar plans have no effect on Consensus results.

What each plan includes

How calls are counted

  • One call per 100 papers returned, rounded up, with a minimum of one call per request. A search that returns 150 papers uses 2 calls.
  • MCP and API share one monthly pool. Searches from your MCP connection and from your API key draw down the same allowance.
  • Usage resets on the 1st of each month.
“Papers per search” is the per-request ceiling. Searches that don’t set a page size still return the default of 20 papers, or your plan’s cap if it’s lower.

Additional usage

Pro, Teams, and Deep can keep making calls past the included amount, up to the plan’s maximum, when the account has an active metered API subscription and additional usage is turned on. Additional usage is billed at $0.05 per call. Free plans stop at 30 calls.
