When to use it
A good rule: start with Pro. If the answer feels thin, or you find yourself asking five follow-ups, switch to Deep.
Run one
1
Turn on Deep
Click Deep in the search bar before you send your question. It turns blue when it’s on. You can also click it on an answer you already have to upgrade it.

2
Ask a big question
Deep does best with questions that need many papers to answer well.
3
Wait a few minutes
Deep takes a few minutes. You can watch its plan in the side panel, or leave and come back. Consensus emails you when it’s done.
4
Read the report
The report is longer than a Pro answer and includes visuals such as a summary of where the evidence leans, key claims and their evidence, and research gaps. Every sentence is cited.
Deep Reviews are limited by plan: 3 per month on Free, 15 on Pro, and 200 on Deep. Save them for your big questions.
Try it on your topic
Run one Deep Review on the broadest version of your topic. Skim the report for the main themes and any gaps it mentions. You should now have: a Deep Review report on your topic that you can come back to as you work through the rest of this guide.
